The game didn’t introduce enough external concepts (there are only three, really: water, dual-direction blocks, and the really annoying large blocks) to keep it interesting all the way through, and I say this when the game is only 6 hours long. There are certain puzzles that shine in Manifold Garden, but it felt like they were running out of ideas very quickly, since there’s only one action the player can actually do, flipping gravity. Most of the time, I found the puzzles that Manifold Garden put forth were extremely simple, or about turning yourself around until you see a door you missed somewhere. A lot of people compare this game to Antichamber for some reason, but the similarities end at the line that there is a lot of white architecture and the puzzles are about putting cubes in certain places. Would I recommend this game? Yeah, sure, if you’re craving a physics 3D puzzle game.
